Debra Bajouwa is a Capital District native and resides in the Helderberg Hilltowns of Albany County with husband Haytham. Debra received her AAS Degree in Floriculture from SUNY Cobleskill, and had a long career as a floral business owner and manager prior to earning her real estate license in 2013. Many years spent focusing on the specific wishes of floral customers has proven to be very valuable in this transition of careers. This same attention to detail continues to serve her well when working with the diverse needs of clients to help them find or market their property.

Striving to stay current in an ever changing real estate market, Debra has invested in over 200 hours of continuing education to earn several specialized real estate designations and certifications, including GRI, Graduate, Realtor Institute. Debra, is an Associate Broker at CM Fox Real Estate in Guilderland, NY.

The Bajouwas have worked on restoring their historic Gothic Revival home over many years,  and have done several entire renovations on investment properties. This understanding of the upkeep and workings of a home come in handy when assisting first time home buyers in both rural and suburban areas. The fast paced and competitive real estate market over the last few years also means that time can be of the essence. Debra knows this, and works diligently to get buyers into the latest listings, or researches the best comparable prices for sellers to expect for their properties. Offering experience and support to guide you through a successful closing is her mission. Geography is no limitation! Listings and sales in 2017 included properties in Albany, Schenectady, Greene and Schoharie counties.

Never too far from her horticultural roots, Debra is an also an avid gardener. Each May since 2015, The Bajouwas have organized and sponsored The Hilltown Garden Exchange, a free community plant swap at the Town of Berne Park. In service to her town, Debra also sits on the Berne  Planning Board, serving as chair in 2018. This position has proven helpful for recognizing potential concerns of zoning and subdivision, or having the know how to research applicable municipal laws that may affect a purchase or sale of real property.
